Rough Idea for the Storyline of My Film

The broad idea for my storyline is that a retired Gangster who used to 'run' London has been out of crime for years. He is now a dedicated family man, who lives in the suburbs. He is happy away from the life he once led, and feels safer. But the reality is he is bored and he misses the recognition he once had as the Capital's top gangster. A chance meeting with an old friend who is in trouble, drags the protagonist back into his old life. He becomes mixed up in a gun drop that goes wrong. Gangsters now vying for control of London start to see him as a threat and target him and his family. He must call on his old contacts to protect his family before it is too late.

The tone of my film will be serious and dramatic, but with a comic edge to it - like the crime films made by Guy Ritchie and Matthew Vaughn. I may create two trailers with different tones - one more comic, one more serious.
