Possible Film Companies for 'London's Finest'

I have decided to look at possible film companies to produce my film, focusing on those that have a history of producing films from the crime genre. The five film companies I am looking at are Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, PolyGram and Miramax.

Warner Bros.

Established in 1923 Warner Bros were originally known for hard-hitting crime films, particularly those from the gangster genre, such as 'The Public Enemy'. They still make crime films today, such as The Many Saints of Newark'.

Paramount

Crime films have been produced by Paramount Pictures since its founding in 1912. 'The Godfather', 'Chinatown' and 'The Untouchables' are just a few of the renowned and adored crime films that they have produced.

Universal

Since it was established in 1912, Universal have specialised in making crime films, creating classics such as 'Scarface'.

Polygram

Recently Polygram has teamed up with Universal, increasing their budgets for future films. Polygram has spent years creating crime films but are most famously known for their Guy Richie-directed films such as 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch'.

Miramax

The final company I have decided to look at is Miramax, who have made/distributed some of the most unique films in the crime genre such as 'Pulp Fiction' and Kill Bill', both directed by Quentin Tarantino.
